More on Lake Agco...
Coined as the ‘Garden of Eden’ of Kidapawan city, Lake Agco in Barangay Ilomavis is one of the most visited scenic spots at the foot of Mt. Apo. Surrounded by mountain ranges, Mount Apo is a protected area and is the top climbing destination in the country.

Lake Agco, Kidapawan is a popular destination frequented by tourists because of its hot and warm pools formed from the waters coming out of local hot springs. It is a unique inter-mingling of calm lake and thick forests, which makes this a delightful place to visit and stay.
The area where the lake is found is the sacred home of the Manobo Tribes of Mount Apo.
Among the exciting things you will find inside the resort are the mud pool, the sulfur lake, a small waterfall and a jacuzzi. The mud pool, with its deep chocolate color, is a very relaxing treat as it warms your body.
If you want sulfuric hot and boiling water, try to dip a toe into the sulfuric lake and see if you can tolerate the heat. Not far ahead is a waterfall with icy- cold waters. Be cautious in stepping, as it tends to be very slippery. With water coming from the hot spring, the Jacuzzi is the perfect site for a very relaxing atmosphere.
Rooms for rent are available to guests who wish to stay overnight. Just do not forget to bring some light jackets for the place tends to be cold especially at night.
There are also camping sites for the adventure seekers. There is a large cold spring pool and several hot spring pools to choose from. You can spend your day at Spa area if you wish to.
For those wanting to spend their holidays longer at the lake, it is advised that you pack and buy your food and other supplies in the city since food is a bit expensive in the resort area. Outside the resort area, fresh veggies are for sale.
The road going to Lake Agco is not all smooth and paved. But as of this time there's an ongoing  road concreting going to the lake. Some may not even be comfortable in a habal- habal ride. But the almost one-hour ride to the lake gets exciting as you will be amazed at the picturesque sight of the countryside mostly covered with banana, mango, durian and rubber plantations. You will also catch a good view of the nipa huts where the locals live.
Lake Agco, Kidapawan is about 2-3 hours by bus or van ride away from Davao City or Cotabato City. From the market, ask a habal- habal driver to take you to the lake.
